  • Artisan Inn properties (inside and grounds) may not be used for special events (ex weddings, parties..) without special permission granted.
  • Cooking of Shellfish in not permitted in or on our properties due to strong residual odors that can last for days and to protect those with severe allergies.

DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICIES

If our cancellation policies do not suit your needs, but you still wish to reserve, it is your responsibility to ensure appropriate travel insurance has been purchased.

We understand that sometimes travel plans can be disrupted due to unforeseen circumstances, from illness to transportation delays. While we truly empathize with these challenges, we kindly ask that guests understand our need to uphold our cancellation policy. As a small business, we rely on each booking, and absorbing the costs of last-minute cancellations would impact our ability to provide the welcoming, high-quality experience we strive for.

To safeguard against unexpected events,  guests should purchase appropriate travel insurance or check if their credit card includes travel insurance. This way, should the unexpected happen neither party is at a loss.

Thank you for your understanding and for supporting our business!

Confirmation of Cancellation: You must receive a confirmation that your cancellation request has been received by the inn (in form of email or cancelled invoice) for a reservation to be considered officially cancelled. Emails requesting to cancel can sometimes go to spam and be missed by us. It is the responsibility of the guest to confirm we have received the request in order for remaining balance not to be charged.

Cancellation Policy Overview

    • Every property has its own defined deposit amount. Should a booking exceed $2000 pre tax or 4 nights, the inn can top the deposit up to 25% of the total booking.
  • Initial 24-Hour Window
    • All bookings are refundable (minus the credit card processing fee of 2.9%-6%, depending on the card type used) until 10 p.m. the following day. For bookings made within 7 days of the first booked date, the initial window is 1 hour before Policy A or B applies.
  • Cancellation Policy A
    • More than 30 Days Prior: Refundable minus am admin fee plus tax per booked property (or 10% of the deposit if 25% down payment was taken).
Admin fee for Trinity Room, Cove View Room and Studio Suite $25 plus tax, Admin Fee for all other properties $45 plus tax.

Special Notes On The Policy:

  • Refunds: We can only refund non-refundable deposits (minus admin fee) if we successfully rebook your dates at the advertised price.
  • Guest Responsibility: It’s up to you to contact us to confirm if your dates were rebooked for a refund.
  • Refund Amount: Due to costs like staff time, possible discounts, and reassignments, any refund amount is entirely at our discretion.
  • No Rescheduling or Gift Certificates: Please note that we do not offer gift certificates or rescheduling as an alternative to cancellation for any reason, as we may still incur a significant loss should we not refill the original booking dates.
  • Extreme Weather Advisory (Hurricane, Tropical Storm, Fire)
If you are already in Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) and cannot safely travel by vehicle on your first reserved date, we’ll issue a gift certificate for the value of nights impacted, valid for one year. This applies if the warning is in effect for Trinity within 48 hours of midnight of your first reserved night. For multi-day stays, we’ll determine the nights affected as it may be reasonable to expect guests can safely come to Trinity for a portion of the booked dates.
For guests traveling from outside NL, ensure you have trip cancellation insurance, as deposits are non-refundable for weather-related plane and ferry transport disruptions including wild fires and severe weather warnings. When such events occur it can impact a high volume of bookings at once and we cannot carry the financial loss on the guests behalf. if we are able to rebook the dates we will refund the stay.  We do not offer rescheduling if the weather event is not directly impacting Trinity.

Thank you for understanding and planning accordingly.
