Artisan Inn Rental Waiver 

& Cancellation Policy
Guests agree to respect the following policies.

  • Smoking is not permitted inside the property.
  • Pets are not permitted.  
  • The max number of guests listed for a property may not be exceeded and Artisan Inn properties (inside and grounds) may not be used for special events (ex weddings, parties..) unless permission has been granted by management. 



DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICIES

If our cancellations policies do not suit your needs, but you still wish to reserve, it is your responsibility to ensure appropriate travel insurance has been purchased.

 The inn may refund a portion of the reservation when cancellations are made after the no refund period, and the space is fully rebooked by another individual. It is at the discretion of the inn whether or not a refund will be issued should we rebook a cancelled space.** We do not offer gift certificates or the ability to shift payments to a postponed date as an option should you need to cancel or change within the non-refundable period.


WHAT DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED?

BOOKINGS OF 1-4 NIGHTS: First night stay at regular season rate.  This will be outlined at the bottom of your invoice and on each property description on our website.

BOOKINGS OF 5 NIGHTS+ OR TOTALLING MORE THAN $2000
25% of the the total reservation is due as a deposit.

Between the time your payment is processed and 10pm Newfoundland time the following day, cancelled reservations will be subject to a fee valued at 6% of the deposit unless the reservation was made within 8 days of the first booked date. Bookings made within 8 days have one hour to request a cancellation. This covers the cost of the bank processing and refunding the deposit.


HOW LONG WILL THE DEPOSIT BE REFUNDABLE FOR?

BOOKINGS OF 1-4 NIGHTS

Rooms & Studio Suite can be refunded up to 30 days prior to midnight on the first reserved date minus a cancellation fee of $25 plus tax. 

Vacation Homes & Campbell Suite can be refunded up to 30 days prior to midnight on the first reserved date minus a cancellation fee of $45 plus tax.

BOOKINGS OF 5 NIGHTS+ OR TOTALLING MORE THAN $2000

Bookings of this size for any property or room can be refunded up to 45 days prior to midnight on the first reserved date minus 10% of the deposit (including taxes).

Should the inn not have topped up the initial deposit to 25% at the time of booking, the inn may withhold the greater of the two (10% of the deposit or the set cancellation fee of $25 or $45 plus tax)

Guests can also opt to receive a gift certificate in their name worth 100% of the deposit***.



WHEN WILL THE DEPOSIT BECOME 100% NON-REFUNDABLE?

BOOKINGS OF 1-4 NIGHTS or LESS THAN $2000

The deposit becomes non-refundable 30 days prior to the first reserved date.
Shortening a stay during this period renders the deposit non-refundable and not applicable to the total for your stay.**

BOOKINGS OF 5 NIGHTS+ or more than $2000

the deposit is non-refundable within 45 days of the first booked date.


WHEN WILL REMAINING BALANCE BE OWED?

VACATION HOMES & CAMPBELL SUITE

Within 30 days of the first reserved date* the total amount of the remainder of the reservation is owed and non-refundable and may be processed at any time by the inn. 

BOOKINGS TOTALLING MORE THAN $3500
The
remainder of the reservation is owed by 45 days prior to the first night stay and can be processed at any time by the inn.

TRINITY ROOM, COVE VIEW ROOM & STUDIO SUITE

Within 21 days of the first reserved date*, the total amount of the remainder of the reservation is owed and non-refundable and may be processed by the inn.

EXCEPTION A: A ROOM BOOKING OF 5 OR MORE NIGHTS may have the remaining balance processed 30 days prior to the reservation and is no longer refundable.

EXCEPTION B: WHEN A ROOM AND VACATION HOME ARE BOOKED TOGETHER the remainder of the stay will be charged in accordance with the Vacation Home payment policy.


Extreme Weather Advisory of Hurricane, Tropical Storm, Rain or Snow: While it seldom happens during our 6 month season, should an extreme weather warning for the above events be issued for your day of arrival and you do not feel comfortable driving to Trinity, we will offer a gift certificate for the value of the nights impacted by the weather event valid for 1 year for travelers who reside in NL or are on the ground in NL when the advisory is announced. For multi-day stays we will determine if some or all reserved nights can be considered to be impacted by the storm. As weather warnings can change, the weather warning must be in effect for our area within 48 hours of midnight of the first night stay for this policy to apply. If you are travelling from off island and your transport to the island is cancelled or rescheduled impacting your ability to reach Trinity on your reserved date, and you cannot return within a year, please ensure you have purchased trip cancellation or disruption insurance that will cover costs of non-refundable deposits.

Confirmation of Cancellation: You must receive a confirmation that your cancellation request has been received by the inn (in form of email or cancelled invoice) for a reservation to be considered cancelled. Emails requesting to cancel can sometimes go to spam and be missed by us. It is the responsibility of the guest to confirm we have received the request in order for remaining balance not to be charged.

*THE FIRST RESERVED DATE BEGINS AT 12:00AM ON THE DATE RESERVED

**THE INN MAY ISSUE A REFUND IF WE CAN REFILL THE RESERVATION  

We will only reimburse non-refundable portions of a deposit if we are able to rebook the space with a new client at the advertised price. It is up to the guest to contact the inn if the dates/property has been rebooked in order to recoup non-refundable charges. Because the inn may have to invest staff time in promoting the vacant property, offer the property at reduced rate or a guest who is already booked may ask to switch to a property left vacant leaving their own reserved room vacant, it is completely at the discretion of the inn to determine what amount if any can be refunded. We do not offer gift certificates or the ability to shift payments to a postponed date as an option should you need to cancel within the date spans outlined above as we may not be able to refill the original booking and will still incur a substantial loss.
